Agreement

These Terms govern your use of SpanishTTS, the Spanish text-to-speech service at spanishtexttospeech.com. By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you are accepting on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorized to bind it.

Two other pages form part of this agreement: the Acceptable Use Policy and the Refund Policy.

What the service does

You submit text, we return synthesized speech in Spanish using licensed synthetic voices. Available voices, models, output formats, per-request limits, and monthly allowances depend on your plan and are listed on the pricing page.

We may change, add, or remove voices, models, and formats. Voices are licensed from third parties and a voice can be withdrawn by its licensor with no notice to us; if a voice you depend on disappears, that is why. Where a change would materially reduce what your paid plan delivers, we will tell you before it takes effect.

Your account

You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your credentials safe. One account is for one person or one organization — see the Acceptable Use Policy on sharing and resale. Tell us promptly if you think your account has been compromised.

Who owns the audio

You own the audio you generate, and you may use it commercially on the Starter, Pro, and Studio plans. Audio generated on the free plan is for personal, non-commercial use only.

Two limits on that ownership, both of which follow from how synthetic voices work:

1. You own the recording you generated. You acquire no rights in the voice itself — you cannot claim, license, or register the voice as yours, and you cannot use our output to train another speech model.
2. Your rights are conditional on complying with the Acceptable Use Policy. Audio generated in violation of it carries no licence from us.

We claim no ownership over the text you submit. We process it only to produce your audio and to operate the service.

Credits, allowances, and expiry

Credits are the unit we bill in: one credit equals one character of text submitted for synthesis. Characters are counted as Unicode code points; Spanish accented letters cost the same as any other character, and formatting tags are counted as the characters they contain.

• A subscription grants its monthly allowance at the start of each monthly period, including on annual plans, which are granted monthly across the year.
• Unused subscription credits roll over for up to two months, and your balance is capped at three times your monthly allowance. We do not grant credits that would exceed that cap.
• Credit packs are one-time purchases valid for 365 days from purchase and are not affected by the cap or by a subscription ending.
• When a subscription ends, its remaining credits expire. Pack credits do not.
• Credits are consumed oldest-first, are not transferable between accounts, and have no cash value.

Credits are deducted when a request is accepted. If synthesis fails on our side or upstream, the credits are returned.

Payment

Plans are billed in advance through Stripe, monthly or annually as you choose, and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your billing page; cancellation stops the next renewal and your access continues to the end of the period you have paid for.

Prices are in US dollars and exclude any tax we are required to collect. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice; a change never applies to a period you have already paid for.

Refunds are covered by the Refund Policy.

Availability

We aim to keep the service running and we do not offer a contractual uptime guarantee on any plan. The service depends on third-party speech providers, and an outage or a change on their side can interrupt it. If we are unable to deliver audio you paid for, we restore the credits, and where a paid period is materially affected we refund it.

Suspension and termination

You may close your account at any time by writing to support. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or where we are required to by law. Accounts terminated for abuse are not refunded.

When an account closes, your generated audio and account data are deleted apart from the billing records we are required to retain.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided as is. Synthetic speech is not a substitute for a human recording in every context, pronunciation is not guaranteed to be correct for every name or loanword, and you are responsible for reviewing audio before you publish it.

To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and if you are a consumer, your mandatory local rights are unaffected by these Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the law of the place where the operator of SpanishTTS is established, and the courts of that place have jurisdiction over disputes, except where mandatory consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim locally.

Changes

We may update these Terms. The date at the top of this page shows the current version, and we will announce material changes through the service before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept them.
