Privacy Policy

Scope

This policy covers SpanishTTS, the Spanish text-to-speech service at spanishtexttospeech.com. It describes what we collect, why, who else sees it, and how long we keep it.

The part most people want to know first

The text you submit for synthesis is sent to a third-party speech-synthesis provider. It has to be — that is how the audio gets made. That provider processes the text to return audio and does not use it to train models on our account. Do not paste passwords, financial details, medical records, or anyone else's personal data into the editor.

We do not run any analytics or advertising trackers. No Google Analytics, no Plausible, no advertising pixels, no session recording. The only cookies we set are the ones listed below.

What we collect

Account information. Your email address, and your name and profile image if you sign in with Google. If you use email and password, we store a hash of the password, never the password itself.

The text you synthesize, and the audio produced from it. Both are stored on your account so you can find your work again.

Usage records. Which voice, model, and format each request used, the character count, and the credits it consumed. This is what the usage and billing pages are built from, and it is how we detect abuse.

Billing records. Which plan or pack you bought, when, for how much, and your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers. We never receive or store your card number — Stripe handles the card and we only see the result.

Technical data. IP address and user agent, present in server logs for security and rate limiting.

What we do not collect

We do not collect your address, phone number, date of birth, or government identifiers. We do not buy data about you from anyone, and we do not build profiles for advertising.

Cookies

Three, all necessary:

1. Session — keeps you signed in.
2. Locale — remembers your language.
3. Theme — remembers light or dark mode.

No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

Who processes your data

We run on a small number of providers, each doing one job:

• Cloudflare — hosting, database, audio storage, and transactional email. Everything lives on Cloudflare's network.
• A third-party speech-synthesis provider — receives the text you submit and returns audio.
• Stripe — payments. Stripe is the controller of your card data, not us.
• Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google, and only to confirm your identity and email.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We disclose data outside this list only to comply with a lawful legal request, or to protect the service and its users from fraud or abuse.

How long we keep things

• Account data — until you close the account.
• Text and generated audio — retained on your account until you ask us to delete it or close the account. We do not currently delete old audio automatically; if we start to, we will say so here and give notice first.
• Billing records — kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, typically seven years, even after the account closes.
• Server logs — a short rolling window for security purposes.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, export, correct, or delete your personal data, and to delete your generated audio. There is no self-service delete button yet, so email support@spanishtexttospeech.com from your account address and we will do it. We respond within 30 days and do not charge for this.

If you are in the EU, UK, or another region with data protection law, you also have the right to object to processing, to restrict it, and to complain to your local supervisory authority.

International transfers

The service runs on Cloudflare's global network and our providers operate internationally, so your data may be processed outside your country. Transfers rely on the standard contractual protections those providers offer.

Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit. Passwords are hashed. Access to production data is limited to people who need it to operate the service. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise — if a breach affects your data we will tell you.

Children

SpanishTTS is not for anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, write to us and we will remove it.

Changes

We will update the date at the top of this page when this policy changes, and announce anything material through the service before it takes effect.
